The Hague was the venue of the second edition of the Day of Bulgaria in the Kingdom of the Netherlands organized this year under the motto Bulgaria-enchanting in all seasons”. The second edition of the event enjoyed a greater amount of interest than the inaugural one probably due to the fact that Bulgaria is already a EU member. The festival is a promotion campaign for Bulgaria’s rich cultural and historical heritage and opportunities for tourism. An exhibition of Bulgarian artists and sculptors, a tourist fair, a concert of Bulgarian singers and musicians and of Dutch performers of Bulgarian music, as well as a presentation of Bulgarian wines and cuisine feature on the event's agenda.

Foreign Minister Ivaylo Kalfin attended the opening ceremony and highlighted the fact that by the end of 2007 more than 70 000 Dutch nationals would visit Bulgaria and that the tiny kingdom ranked second among foreign investors in Bulgaria.
