Their repertoire includes mostly revisions of folk songs that have been made for the quartet especially. They perform songs of popular Bulgarian composers like Fillip Kutev, Krasimir Kiurkchiiski, Stefan Mutafchiev, Nikolai Kaufman.
An important place in their repertoire takes the authentic folk songs that Eva Quartet performs in the same way like through the centuries in the pass by
their ancestors. Almost from the very beginning the Eva Quartet sings also Church – Slavonic music that is not changed till our days. The four singers are changing the way of drawing out the music to show this specific genre with its real atmosphere, sense and effect.
Their first success came with the including of their songs in the CD of Le Mistere des Voix Bulgares by the producer Marsel Selie. Their song 'Radke mama Radke' is included at the album 'Spiritus' of PolyGram that brings them a world popularity.
They have two own CDs - 'Bulgarian Folklore Gifts' and 'Harmonies'.
Eva Quartet has performed a lot of concerts not only in Bulgaria but all over the world like Germany, Poland, France, Japan, Greece and other countries. |
