“Trakia” - Bulgarian folklore ensemble from Plovdiv was founded in 1974. Daniela Dzheneva is its artistic director and choreographer. The director of the orchestra is associate professor Lyubomir Dossev and the director of the choir is Dimitar Hristov.
The artistic aspect of “Trakia” ensemble was created by Prof. Kiril Dzhenev and it has developed during the years thanks to the assistance of some of the most popular authors in the field of folklore – associate professor Stefan Mutafchiev, professor Nikolay Kauffman, Kosta Kolev, Jivka Klinkova and many others. The greatest contribution to this artistic power is due to the performers, who are students or graduated from the Academy of Music and Dance Art.
