XXXI International Festival of Masquerade Games "Surva" 2025 will be held from January 24 to 26 in Pernik. The largest winter festival in Europe will once again include a rich program, three-day parades of survakars, kukers, babugers and jamalari groups from Bulgaria, as well as visiting groups from abroad. The official opening will take place on the "Krakra" square on the evening of January 24.

On the square and streets of Pernik, unique masquerade costumes and traditions preserved for centuries will once again be presented. For the third time, there will also be an area for events, outdoor stages, as well as many surprises that will enrich the experience of all guests.

The "Surva" festival is the oldest and largest masquerade festival in Bulgaria, the first manifestation of which dates back to 1966. In addition to the parade, the festival also organizes exhibitions, souvenir bazaars and events that promote traditional Bulgarian art.



In 2024 MFMI "Surva" attracted over 12,000 participants. Residents and guests of the city can expect an unforgettable experience full of energy, color and entertainment.
